HE Lt. Gen. Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and General Security in Dubai, president of the UAE Anti-Narcotics council, in cooperation with the comptent authorities, commended the giant efforts in the UAE to reveal drug related criminal patterns, study the reasons and propose innovative solutions with the cooperation of all partners who constitute the national response to handle the drug issue and neutralize all traffickers and dealers of these toxins.
This was during the 4th meeting of the council for 2022 that His Excellence presided over. The meeting was held this morning with the participation of Brigadier Saeed Abdullah Al Sowaidi, Director General of the Federal Anti-Narcotics General Directorate, Vice President of the council, heads of the national supreme committee under the council, officials and anti-narcotics directors in the UAE.
The Council reviewed the ongoing preparations to celebrate the World Anti-Drug Day, which falls on June 26, and which will be under the slogan "Drugs ... a painful end", in an effort to highlight the country's efforts locally, regionally and globally, and the distinguished cooperation in confronting the drug scourge, and the great efforts of the drug agencies. The fight in cooperation with the relevant authorities in the same field under the umbrella of the Narcotics Control Council.
in addition to the efforts taken in the field of awareness and preventive efforts and programs provided by the social, educational and rehabilitation centers in the country in cooperation with the control agencies to preserve the youth.
The council discussed a number of other topics on its agenda and took the necessary decisions in their regard.
