Saif Bin Zayed witnesses signing of MOU to facilitate arrival of doctors in emergencies
Lt. Gen. Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding to supervise putting the "Bin Waraqa" service in effect to facilitate the arrival of doctors in emergency cases. The MOU was signed by the Ministry of Interior, the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Health and Prevention, Department of Health – Abu Dhabi and Dubai Health Authority.
The MOU was signed in a virtual ceremony using video-conference technology. Maj. Gen. Salem Ali Mubarak Al Shamsi, Assistant Undersecretary for Resources and Support Services, signed on behalf of the Ministry of Interior, while for the Ministry of Presidential Affairs HE Ahmed Mohamed Al Humairi, Secretary-General of the Ministry, Maj. Gen. Faisal Mohamed Abdullah Al Shehhi, Commander of Joint Supply in the Armed Forces, signed on behalf of the Ministry of Defense, and for the Ministry of Ministry Affairs HE Ahmed Mohamed Al Humairi, Secretary-General of the Ministry, and on behalf of the Ministry of Health and Protection, HE Dr. Yusuf Mohamed Al Serkal, Director-General of the Emirates Foundation for Health Services, and for the Dubai Health Authority, HE Dr. Yunus Kazim, Executive Director of the Dubai Health Care Corporation, and for the Department of Health - Abu Dhabi, HE Dr. Jamal Mohamed Al Kaabi, Undersecretary of the Department.
The MOI aims to enhance the joint work and concerted efforts exerted in implementing government directives by achieving cooperation among all institutions and agencies to raise the readiness of human resources in government agencies during periods of crisis and emergency situations, especially frontline healthcare workers. The MOU enhances partnership relations by facilitating the way doctors of vital specialties reach their medical facilities in response to emergency cases through the Bin Wraiqa Service.
