MOI opens new manufacturing innovation lab during "UAE Innovates"

Maj. Gen. Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Chairman of the Institutional Development Council at the Ministry of Interior, inaugurated the Ministry of Interior's Manufacturing Innovation Lab in the Ministry's building and in conjunction with the events of "UAE Innovates 2021" currently held across the UAE. The festival witnesses with wide participation from federal and local government entities, academic institutions, private sector companies and various segments of the community. The annual national event celebrates innovation and success stories in the UAE, and presents achievements and innovative projects across all sectors.

The Innovation Lab is one of the Ministry of Interior's initiatives that aim to step up the adoption of innovation in government work and become an incubator for innovators and project owners and innovative ideas by adopting and developing them for the service and advancement of police work.

The attendees were briefed a by officials of the Ministry of Interior's Innovation Lab, about the technologies, facilities, tools, and creativity rooms in the laboratory. They also viewed a number of proposed and applied innovations that enhance the development process in police work, including a presentation by three students of the Police College, batch 34, who presented their innovation Which enhances civil safety and protection from toxic and harmful gases.


Maj. Gen. Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Chairman of the Institutional Development Council at the Ministry of Interior, said that we are keen to mark the Innovation Week as an occasion that promotes the continuous development work approach according to the vision of the UAE government in adopting creativity and innovation as a method of work and a community culture, at steady steps, He added that It enables us in order to achieve the vision that the United Arab Emirates is to be one of the best countries in the world for safety and security.


Maj. Gen. Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili continued saying that ee are keen to launch and adopt ideas, initiatives, modern technologies and innovations that contribute to strengthening the capabilities of national institutions in their endeavor to meet new challenges, He explained " we are all confident in continuing to work on innovation in a way that enhances the safety and security of society, according to clear plans and sustainable programs that enhance generational capacity building as a fundamental goal to achieve development and increase capacity. He pointed out that, making Competitiveness a priority in all initiatives to ensure the sustainability of the process of excellence and leadership.
