Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Aqdar World Summit in Moscow, Russia, from 29 August – 1 September 2019 under the theme Global Empowerment of Communities: Experiences and Lessons learned in conjunction with Moscow Global Forum.
The third edition of the summit includes a comprehensive unique agenda featuring 11 sessions tackling 3 main topics: Education and National Service: The Fundamentals for Empowering UAE Youth, The Technical, Intellectual, and Food Security: The Strategic Pillars to Empower Communities and Youth – The UAE Model, and The Role of the Advanced Sciences and Future Projects in Empowering and Improving the Well-Being of Communities, discussed by 12 UAE officials including 8 ministers. While a number of experts, professionals, and academicians will offer their, opinions, insights, and experiences in 26 workshops focusing on issues related to developing and empowering communities in various fields.
Aqdar World Summit is held this year in parallel with Moscow Global Forum- an event that focuses on discussing the education system with the participation of teachers, experts, educational start-ups and projects while involving parents and the youth. The main purpose of the Forum this year is to integrate the city's resources to create a unified educational environment and training of skills for the 21st century, which helps to create conditions to develop the potential of the international education system.
This year, the summit aims to build strategies and policies to empower communities and enhance their knowledge and cultural abilities to achieve civilizational development and human prosperity. It intends to build a platform for effective and productive dialogue between experts, specialists and community stakeholders on how to respond positively to future and current challenges and risks. It also focuses on unifying the capabilities of all individuals by learning from the experiences of other countries and governments.
The conference program begins with the session Education and National Service: The Fundamentals for Empowering UAE Youth where it will highlight the role of institutions in setting the pillars of loyalty and national belonging which would help the communities and the youth to understand their roles and responsibilities towards their homeland and the society they are living in. At the forefront of these institutions come the Ministry of Education and the armed forces, who play vital role in this regard due to their huge responsibility in empowering the youth and helping them in developing their national identity.
While the second session titled The Technical, Intellectual, and Food Security: The Strategic Pillars to Empower Communities and Youth – The UAE focuses on sustainability in a world surrounded by risks and challenges that require a broad understanding of the implications of these risks on the global peace, security and stability of societies. it also showcases the UAE's strategy in dealing with the global food crisis in light of the growing population and the decrease in cultivated areas in many regions of the world and the mechanisms of the UAE in empowering communities to develop an agricultural system that works on the global food sustainability.
On the other hand, the last session of the conference will tackle the topic The Role of the Advanced Sciences and Future Projects in Empowering and Improving the Well-Being of Communities presenting the UAE's strategy in utilizing science and technology in building a society capable of coping with the tremendous developments in various scientific fields.
Running parallel to the conference, the exhibition will play host to a number of companies from the public and private sectors where they will showcase their services and solutions in the fields of training, education, security, and empowerment. The exhibition will also give the exhibitors a chance to reveal their latest advancements and technologies to the world.
