Browsing the Website

The Ministry of Interior is committed to protecting user privacy and will not collect any personal information unless the user chooses to provide this information to the Ministry. The Ministry of Interior reserves the right to make any minor or major changes to its privacy policy terms and conditions from time to time without prior notice.

Browsing the Website

When you visit the Ministry of Interior’s website to browse the information it contains, you do so as an anonymous user unless you choose to provide personal information. If you do nothing during your visit but browse through the website—reading pages, viewing photographs, or downloading information, for example—we will automatically gather and store certain information about your visit. This information does not identify you personally.

Information gathered automatically is used for, among other things, site management, compiling reports and usage statistics, and, in the case of suspected unauthorized activity, for law enforcement and possible criminal prosecution.

The following are the types of information automatically collected and stored about your visit to the website:

Registering online for an account to avail eServices

Unless stated otherwise, if you register online to create an account using our online form, for example to avail the eServices, you will provide your name and e-mail or postal address and other information. We will use this information only to create your account and to better serve you, for example, with the available eServices.

Registered users, if they have opted to receive updates and notifications, may receive e-mail notifications.

The Ministry of Interior does not guarantee that the operation of its website will be uninterrupted or error free, or that the content will be virus-free. In the event that the Ministry of Interior notifies registered users of any known interruption or irregularities in the operation of the website, the registered user shall take the appropriate steps in respect to computer security, which may reasonably be required by the Ministry under such circumstances, in order to prevent or mitigate potential losses arising from such interruption or irregularities.

Submitting a Resume Online

The data included in the resume that you submit will be used for employment consideration only; and will be stored in an internal tracking system for a period of one year. Your data is only available internally to a limited number of recruitment staff.

Sending us an e-mail or filling the online form

Unless stated otherwise, if you choose to submit questions or comments using our online form and provide us with your name and e-mail or postal address, we will use that information only to respond to your inquiry or comment.
  • We will not share your name, e-mail, or postal address with any third party.
  • We will not create individual profiles with the information that you have provided.
  • Under no circumstances will we give your name, e-mail, or postal address to any private organization, commercial or otherwise.

Use of Cookies

The Ministry of Interior’s website sets a temporary session cookie on a visitor's computer whenever the user clicks the “Remember Me” on the Login page. It will be automatically deleted after a short period of time. Cookies may be set when logging in to maintain a “logged-in” status. If the user saves a username in browser, this information will be saved for up to ONE year, and the saved username will appear in “username” field if the user revisits the same login page. Registered users, who use a public computer and do not wish to show their username to other users of the machine, should not select “Remember Me” on the login page.

Only the laws applicable in the United Arab Emirates shall be implemented regarding any disputes arising from using this website. Furthermore, courts of the United Arab Emirates have the exclusive jurisdiction to consider and settle such disputes.
