The MoI enhanced its strategic partnership with the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation to sponsor, support and participate in the UAEJJF activities and events. This will enhance cooperation for the benefit of youth and sports in the UAE. On Wednesday, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in the MoI headquarters to support all national and athletic community events which carry noble values and have a positive impact on individuals and the community.
The MoI Memorandum of Understanding was signed by Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, MoI Undersecretary and Abdel Menem Al Sayed al Hashemi, president of the UAEJJF and mixed martial arts, during a ceremony attended by Major General Salemn Ali Mubarak Al Shamsi, MoI Assistant Undersecretary for resources and support services, Brigadier Mohammed Hamid bin Damlouj al Dhaheri, Secretary General of the office of HH the Minster of Interior, president of the Police Sports Federation, Brigadier Aref ali al Rais, Director of the Police Sports Federation, and several officers and officials from sports.
This Memorandum of Understanding enhances the partnership of the Ministry of Interior and the the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation to continue their cooperation in organizing, supporting and participating in sporting events and building an Emirati athlete generation that achieves the aspirations of the nation.
The Memorandum of Understanding also includes sponsoring the local jiu-jitsu championships organized by the Emirates Jiu-Jitsu Federation and sponsoring the Abu Dhabi World Championship for professionals in this sport.
